I was completing my profile for GPWA yesterday and writing about how I got started in Affiliate marketing, and that got me started on a walk down memory lane. Though I had been a small time affiliate, I really got my start as an affiliate manager and that is what I know best, now. When I started though, I was very green. My first affiliate came to me asking about a CPC deal? I knew nothing of the Casino industry and even less about being an affiliate manager and was talked into a 0.25 Euro Cent CPC deal. Over the following weekend, that affiliate generated a balance of nearly 2,500 EURO and a single minimum depositor. I of course immediately had to cancel the partnership (and pay the man). Once that was done I took a moment to reflect and discovered that I had no idea what I was doing.
I look back now and laugh, but It got me wondering about others. When did you learn how little you know?
