What do you think about free to play slots?

It all depends on how you plan to use them. For me, it's not always a bad idea, just don't put games on every pages of your site.

Besides most other points in this topic, if you go for it, don't forget to add the i-frames with lazyload (if under fold), or after a click on a button with jquery or js. You can also decide to just open the games in a new window what is better for the mobile experience.

What is very annoying is the amount of online slots going end of life, making most reviews useless after a while as nobody will be searching for them anymore.

hey i think they slow down the site and sometimes u get issues with Iframe - TBH I am not sure how many clicks they get but the search volumes are generally high enough to justify having them. Ideally u have an automated system that tells you when an iframe isnt loading or has changed as this is not uncommon

If they are setup with click to load should not be a problem, if you are trying to load the iframe in then it doesn't make good for a visitor experience

Free slots do have major drawbacks but still I think it's a good way to attract some traffic. It's only a matter of budget, if you have enough resources to feature some free slots with no harm to the site, like page loading time

It will not be superfluous if you have free games on your website. If you describe an online casino on your website, slot machines are an integral part of any casino. I think it is very reasonable and you will also get additional traffic. Thus, the envelope of players will be minimal, but it can be.

I also think that free slots have drawbacks, but i think that in terms of making traffic it is a good way, but not the only one really

We decided to add some free slots to our site, thinking it'd be a cool way to draw in more folks. And yeah, it did bring in more traffic, but here's the kicker – only a tiny fraction of those peeps actually moved on to the paid games. Honestly? Doesn't feel like it was worth the hassle.

That can be done really easily with Slots Launch plugin. 18k+ free games

sometimes a bit difficult because of the Iframes but yes if u want to be an authority on slots, I think u should offer them and just make sure you have a system that flags when a free to play slot is not working / loading on your site

I think it's valid. I think people who enjoyed the game for free will also play it for a fee.

I use them straight in conjunction with a comparison table with operators that are offering this slot. If you can manage to find an operator that offers these slots as the free spins bonus, even better!

But just having it without any way of converting a visitor to an FTD doesn't really make that much sense to me.

If you're a new site, any traffic you can bring without having a bounce rate that is too high is great for SEO. It gives you a bigger crawl budget as Google will prioritize you more, it helps google analyze your audience but more importanty, it helps you with your topical authority. While i wouldn't spend thousands on backlinks or spend all my time creating these free slot pages, it could for sure be worth the hassle.

If you can add an email opt-in or a strong CTA button next to the game, that could further help you monetize this traffic.
