55K? J-Todd who are you kidding? There is a reason you hide your viewer stats on Youtube. Bot views show up pretty obvious do they mate?
Ut oh, folks... here's another "first post" industry guru come to learn us all about how unethical I am. Brace yourselves... LMAO!
First of all, Einstein, the video with 55,000 views was above average mainly because Rene was in the screen grab icon, which of course meant more men were clicking the link just to check her out. That's why Anthony said "thanks Rene". Duh.
Second of all, if you want to attribute our success to bots go right ahead. I think a brief search of the web, however, will demonstrate that our support is world wide and viral. We achieved this status because we were the first and only ones doing video for a couple of years... and because we united players and webmasters with our "Join the Fight" crusade. Even you should be able to figure that out.
Third of all, if we were running bots (which if someone knows of a good bot please do let me know) then why are some weeks 15,000 and some 5,000? Seems we would be a bit more consistant with our numbers. And heck, back in 2008 we were averaging over 20,000 for a while but have now dropped to about 9,000. Sounds like we can't work the bots right! LOL!
Fourth of all, anyone who's ever used You Tube knows how messed up the counters are. Last Fridays video sits just above 300 views right now, and we all know it's got much more than that. But the You Tube trackers are all kinds of screwed up and have been for as long as I can remember. Eventually, the numbers will jump up, but not because we have any control over it.... because You Tube does.
Lastly, we do hide our stats because they are proprietary. We get hits from many websites, blogs, and forums who allow up to post our videos there and we have no intentions of sharring just how much traffic we get from whom. If a compeditor want's to know where our traffic comes from tough cookies. People inside GPWA have seen the backend numbers, so I guess they are in on the cover up as well.
So to surmise, I dunno who PokerLeads is... or who he thinks he is... but he does seem he has a vast knowledge of less than ethical techniques. Makes me wonder how he makes his money is this industry with a name like "Poker Leads".... Makes me wonder why he's lurked so long and just today starts making posts... makes me wonder why his IP says he's in California but his verbage says he's from outside the US... right, mate?
Should make everyone else wonder, too =0)
I'll bet you this guy comes back and says we're buying views or artificially boosting our traffic. Let's see...
Hmm. So you promise you don't buy views? I mean your name is Integrity. Will you put your integrity on the line here? Can you promise to all of the members of GPWA & APCW that you do not or have never participated in any sort of artificial youtube view increasing schemes?
Mate?
Gee... how did I know! LMAO!
I can personally state that I have never purchased a hit for a You Tube video. Why would I?
There was an offer from You Tube which allowed account holders to bid on key words within the site... much like a PPC engine... which I looked into maybe a year ago. Interested in terms like "online gambling" and "gambling news", but due to the fact that Google owns You Tube they did not approve those terms.
It's really noble of you to take such a stance against an organization doing far more to support the webmasters and players that anything you're asscoatied with. And I realize that our success generates many "haters" out there. But if you believe you have some sort of evidence against me then publish it.
No proof man, just a hunch. I've been lurking for a while and just got the balls (a few drinks) to post today. You get like 6 comments on your videos and like 5-10k views. LOL. Whatever no skin off my back.
We're cool. But I tell ya what man, you may want to sobber up a bit before making baseless accusations about people.
Just a little FYI (and for anyone else who's interested) we have a mailing list of over 2,000, a blog that gets over 5,000 views a week, and well over 600 subscribers to our You Tube channel... and those numbers don't take into consideration all the GPWA mailer that goes out, or all the forums, message boards, and other websites which use our videos as sticky content.
But anyways, no harm... welcome to GPWA.
Wild Turkey? You think I'm rich? I'm drinking Popov!
I guess there is a difference between you and you, maybe if we spoke spanish I could have used the tu or ustedes. Its just one of those things politicians always say... "I never stole those files" but they know damn well that a guy was doing it.
I guess you're not a politician though. If you say so, who am I to question it...
