    Default New Commission Structure/Affiliate System

    Hey All,

We have now implemented a new affiliate system www.totesportaffiliates.com, all affiliates looking to work with us should now use this system. To go with the new system we have changed our commission structure. All affiliates can now benefit from 40% revenue share across all products. We are also offering an alternative CPA structure along with 10% for sub affiliates!

    Separated No Negative Rollover

Unlike most other programme's, we offer cross product commissions BUT, if you incur a negative balance in a month on one product, we wont aggregate that against another.

    Example

You earn ?00 in March for sports, but make a loss of ?00 for casino. We zero the ?00 loss and pay you the ?00 for sports. Many other operators would add those together and only pay you ?00.

If you are already an affiliate of ours, you too will benefit from the new commission structures, you will be able to begin using the system from 3pm tomorrow (03/06/2010).

If you have any questions about the change or the new structures, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Dean

Can we have our sub-affiliates back that were taken away from us the last time you "changed" your system?

If not, how do we know the sub-affiliates won't be taken away from us again?

I did indeed answer Rick via PM. Rick has expressed his views on this many of times and so I preferred to keep our exchanges private.

I should however have given an answer publicly too.

Sub affiliates were "taken away" (I have no proof that they were or were not taken away) many years ago. The reason I have no proof is because not one person who was on the marketing team back in 2004/05 are currently working for totesport.

Through research I have done, I believe if sub affiliates we indeed "taken away" it was due to the fact that we had to change affiliate software providers to Orbis, which simply didn't have the sub affiliate functionality at the time and still doesn't.

We are now with Income Access as the Orbis system simply wasn't good enough, lack of sub affiliates being a prime example. As we all know, Income Access does have sub affiliate capabilities and we have no plans to ever move to a software that does less than the current software.

Perhaps the decision was taken in the past the the benefits of the Orbis system outweighed the lack of sub affiliate functionality. Clearly a decision like this would never need to be made again.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

Hi Dean - I have a question about your program....

It states in your terms that affiliate sites must comply with UK law...

    Do you accept international affiliates?

Yes, but our terms and conditions state:

    We will not:

    1. accept publishers / promoters of our site that intend to promote gaming or betting to US end users and, accordingly, you must;
    1. comply with all UK gaming and advertising laws,
    2. comply with all laws in jurisdictions that you target, and
    3. ensure that you do not promote gaming or betting to US end users; any breach of the provisions in this clause 2 shall be a material breach of the terms of our agreement with us occasioning immediate termination.
So, looking at my site, Very Best Casinos, according to your terms, it does not qualify for your program. Correct?

    Hi Terry,

Taking a look at your site, it appears that much of the traffic coming to the site is Canadian, not US. Obviously any site can get traffic from anywhere in the world, this term covers affiliates who are directly targeting US traffic with the intention of sending that traffic our way.

As we cannot accept US traffic, we need to steer clear of affiliates who directly target US traffic.

Usually if we get a US affiliate on board, we work with the affiliate to determine their goals and what kind if traffic they plan on sending us (in terms of geographical location)

If the stats I am viewing are correct then we would have no problem whatsoever with your site and would welcome you and the site.

Perhaps you could provide me with some traffic data to enable me to make a more informed decision?

    Thanks,

    Dean

    Hi, Dean

Sorry to thread-hijack. Are you still using your MSN IM? I've got a couple of questions.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

My casino site is brand new so there is no traffic data to analyze. I am located in Canada and based on the traffic data from my other sites, I would say that Canada, UK and the US make up the vast majority of traffic across all my sites.

I intentionally promote some US facing properties but make every effort to inform my US players which properties are US friendly and which ones aren't.

I would happily place a bolded warning on the review pages for your properties warning US players they can't access your site.

Additionally, I operate a second tier affiliate site where I would like to promote your program. The url is in my signature if you'd like to check it out and let me know whether it's acceptable.

    Thanks,

Placing a warning that we cannot accept US traffic is perfectly sufficient. As I say, I understand a webmaster cannot control where his/her traffic comes from but if there is a decent chance some traffic will be US then a warning is ideal.

I would be more than happy to work with you for both your casino site and the second tier affiliate site.

Obviously you have seen the commission rates we offer in this thread so no need for me to bang on about that

Please feel free to let me know if you require anything at all from me to help get things underway.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

The majority of payments have been made for June. We aim to make all payments by the 15th of the month.

Perhaps you could contact me via any of the methods on my signature if you haven't been paid yet and I can help you out there.

    Thanks,
