    Default Mainstreet Affiliates. Is this normal?!

    Hi All,

    Just wanted to know if the below stats for Mainstreet affiliates are normal. We have been marketing them on/off for the last four years without converting a single player. We have decided not to market them as aggressively as we used to due to poor conversion rates.

    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Looking at those numbers it seems that they either have a conversion problem with the traffic you are sending them, or their numbers are wrong. I don't promote mainstreet, but it's quite likely that a certain amount of the downloads is also canceled downloads (not sure if they distinguish in their reporting).

    It does seem are able to provide them with some traffic, so in the end it is up to them convert it. At the same time, it might be that your traffic just isn't interested in their brands. It happens.

    Yeah, conversions are a bit down... I don't think is a mainstreet problem only...

    Since I have mainstreet along with other sponcers...

    And also what syndroid said, could be a reason...

    If sponcers (or the casinos) don't bring new things to life... e.g. bonus, promotions, new games, tournaments, etc... and in the process make this info reach their affiliates...

    Then you are always (in the end) promoting the same thing...
    It's the same thing has, for example, a cinema promotion always the same 10 movies!!!

    On top of this we still have the software download and install problem... although many sponcers now have flash casinos, but even here some ppl don't have flash installed, an this brings more security problems to the players and also to the casinos....

    Passing this software / install / flash quest.... you still need the player to signup / login into the casino, then look around the place... try the casino for free...

    And then, and only then... will the player say... will I deposit!!!
    Let's assume they all at this point say "YES!"...

    You will have the final epic quest... will any of the deposit processors of the casino work for the player???

    Bottom line and summarizing... Getting a new a "Sale" (aka gambling player)... is like playing the roulette, u bet (make articles, website, etc), you spin the wheel (send traffic), and see the result (did any signup and played)

    I am finding that Main Street Affiliates is no longer very good at converting, but my main problem is that since they went over to the new affiliate software - my links for Slots Plus are no longer working, yet they are the links that are actually provided in the software. Does anyone else have this problem too?
    I am thinking that this may be why there is so many clicks showing but no one actually can get to the page to download and signup as it times out all the time and then comes out with a bunch of garbled junk on the page.

    Can you show me where you are clicking from? Can you also please show me a screen shot of what you describe below?

    This is the first Ive heard of anything like this but rest assured if there is some kind of problem I will do my best to assist in getting it sorted.

    Hi topboss,

    Your links work fine for me and my tech team.

    What we think the error relates to is a third party application such as openerp or Alexa toolbar. Do you use OpenErp or anything similar?

    Thats very weird, however before I start panicking about it - I just double clicked on my links now and they seem to be working...so maybe the problem was on my side, although my link checker had also reported it as broken, but the main thing is that all seems to be working now!
    Thanks very much for looking into this for me Jason...now please work on conversions

    Glad to hear all is working again for you.

    Regarding conversions, I wish there was a magical wand to wave to that would produce amazing conversions for everyone. However in reality its much more difficult than that. Having said that though we do have a number of systems in place to accept the CC deposits and would say that we are doing well as of late. Even considering the recent loss of EWX we have managed to get those depositors using our alternative methods(not all players have done so but a majority have).

    Oh and unlike any other programs, we will never pass the losses we incurred from EWX.

    I have the same problem 115 clicks 53 downloads and 0 sign ups
    I am sure this is something not right.
