In Germany there is the possibility of a subsequent preventive detention, so that the prisoner never will be released. A life sentence in Germany means 15 years unless the court rules out probation because of the grieviousness of offence. In this case the preventive (and probably real lifelong) detention will be activated.

On 31. March 2017 statistics says, that 549 persons with preventive detention are in Germany's prisons. 64.193 people are jailed here in total, less than only 0.08% of our population.

I'm not a big supported of death penalty either (in general) but I also can understand that fact

it's not human to be locked up without any chance of leaving the prison

However, there might be a solution for that, if a prisoner has completed his 20-25 years (after killing people...) he can be "tested" annually a series of tests to make sure that he is no longer a threat to society, and I'm talking about a very serious set of tests.
Moreover, it can be done only with certain prisoners depending on their crime lever etc..

We need to remember that not all crimes made by the people because they want to do it, sometimes it because they been brainwashed... and 20-25 years in prison made them understand what they did and why it was wrong...

With all this being said, I can "agree" to a death penalty in some, for example in cases when it was proven that this person was actually active in designing terror events and was active in recruiting people do to these dirty crimes for him etc.. Kill the head and save lots of innocent lives.

Unfortunately, in Europe, especially in the countries, where the attacks happened, lifelong prison is very comfortable, with gym, TV, books and games. Incommunicado detention is classified as torture here, and torture is prohibited in Europe. Only in cases, when a prisoner is violent in prison, he can be put into incommunicado detention for a longer period of time.

So, a terrorist in Europe with lifelong prison has all freedoms to radicalize other prisoners for the next decades, who - on the contrary to him - will be released and can plan the next attacks.

In Spain the terror cell had collected 120 gas canisters and was planning to use them in a vehicle. I am against death penalty, but there is no alternative to the police officers than to eliminate this subjects, to protect the people and also to protect their own lives.

Prison in Europe for terrorists is like Disney Land, and they can continue to radicalize others.

Yesterday, almost simultaneously two terror attacks in Brussels and London.

In Brussels a terrorist, who yelled "Allahu Akbar" was liquidated after he tried to stab two soldiers with a knife.

After another knife attack outside of Buckingham Palace in London the terrorist was stopped after he injured Police officers.

No, on the contrary to your country unfortunately it is complete unknown here. If I am right, you are celebrating this day as a mixture of Mothers Day and Valentines Day, what is a great idea in my opinion.

Today we have major progress in equality in Germany, but you have to know, that before 1. July 1958 every husband in Germany had the right to terminate the labor contract of his wife with her employer at any time, without her approval or knowledge. The law itself was changed not before 1977!

And until 1962 without the approval of her husband no wife could open a bank account.
