I see some use these kind of titles, but i reckon better alternative is to have Best casinos for May somewhere on the page instead of touching the main title every month.

Google picks it up very well, and it doesn't have to be H2 or H3.

Simply put a bolded note above your casino list and it will do the job.

And the page title can be, for example, Best Online Casinos Australia: Top Casino Sites AU [2021], and you will certainly rank for May and June and other following months too, because you have [2021] in the title and you make on-page notification update for each month every time it starts.

Once someone looks for "best online casinos Australia May" or "Best online casinos May Australia" etc, Google will pull that piece of text from your page and show it instead of your page description.

P.S There is no guarantee that it will work for everyone!

I probably change my meta titles once every 6 months, if it's not broken, don't fix it

There are two timings I would change

When the top ranked article in the SERPs has a low CTR
When I have made significant changes to the content of an article that is nowhere near the top of the SERPs.

Other than these, I rarely make changes.

Changing title and meta can be good to applied only those posts which are offering any discount for a specific month or year. For example: You have written a post where is meta title and des including "Godaddy domain coupon for January month" if you will continue your offer for the next month so you need to change your title and des for February month.

If you see that your page has a good position on a keyword that doesn`t in your title, then it will be a good idea to try this keyword in your title, but sometimes not ) then you should put your title back

Usually I don't. Just when I think that the relevant page has a great content and doesn't rank for a longer period, I consider changing the title&description.

I don't think you have to change the meta tag very often as long as it's work.

It might help with your CTR rate if you have a relevant title, but I don't think it will have any effect in terms of rankings at all. I have had the month in titles before, and it's a pain remembering to update them each month. In some of my casino lists I do what you suggest, it auto updates each month so I don't forget to change it.

I do this about once every couple of months.
I change the title, but basically don't change the meta.

    If the title is
"Best darn blue widgets available at the best prices online"
And the page is all about blue widgets and how you have the best prices on blue widgets.

If you do not change the page to now be about buying red widgets in the UK, why would anyone think the title should be changed to:
"Best darn red widgets available at the highest UK prices"

Titles should reflect what the page is about, and most often it will be recommended that the focus keywords should be in there.

If the page, and what it is about does not change, why would the title change often? Sure to go back and try to optimize it more, make it fit focus keywords better etc, I just do not see a lot of value in changing titles frequently, if the content on that particular page does not also change.

I only ever change them if I am updating the article or page and including new key words!

Seems that Google is increasingly changing the titles of late. Just read this a couple days ago: https://zyppy.com/blog/google-title-rewrite-study/

And also noticed it on our own sites. We don't go crazy with keywords in our titles but Google still seem to think they are keyword heavy and changes them. One example:

Our title: Zimpler Online Casinos | Zimpler Review, Deposits & Withdrawals

What Google shows: Zimpler Review, Deposits & Withdrawals - Casino Banking Methods
    • Teamwork - iGaming content & localisation services. Shortlisted for Best Digital Agency at 2024 iGB Affiliate Awards.
    • Pokie Machines
    • Hiring native writers with iGaming experience.

I'm changing the Meta Title & Meta Description when an article gets updated with new content.

I don't see the need to change the meta's constantly.

Should do some experimenting, like A/B testing and see how it goes - but I don't have time for that at the moment.

to be honest, I never change it. I prefer to focus on adding more pages or websites vs tweaking title and description that we never really know if we are improving it or making it worse.... until months after. hope it makes sense in some way.

By any chance is "Casino Banking Methods" an H2 or H3 title on page? Clearly they are associating a reference to a topic the page covers. Just intrigued by where they got the string value "Casino Banking Methods".

To some degree, without reading the actual page, it seems like they did a decent job of picking the title.

Put a couple of time in your text "online casinos that accept Zimpler", at the moment you have non. Google clearly thinks it is Zimpler review but not Zimpler casinos. You can stick also a few of these

    - Casinos accepting Zimpler
    - Casinos that accept Zimpler
    - A list of casinos that accept Zimpler
    - Zimpler-accepting online casinos
