Default How often do you change your meta Title and Description?

    Just curious!

Usually, I do it once a month. And I do see changes in SERP, not sure if its related to this factor, but in overall - only positive results. And what about you? Tell your stories!

Why change them? I change only if I want to change the key request or add another one. Well, or when I see that they are not beautiful.

Why changing it? Maybe just if the content has been changed in a way that description should be changed as well, otherwise no.

If the dynamic is negative, I try to change it. The same times when I need to improve CTR.

Google isn't a big fan of meta changes when it happens quite often. You should only modify them when there's a change in your page and it should reflect in the metas or when Google changes the length limit, which happens quite rarely.

I actually don't, well at least for the pages that perform well, I'm even sort of afraid to make changes like that when everything works as expected I do try to update my content on a regular basis where appropriate, however for some pages (even well performing ones) there's just not that much that can be updated.
On the other hand I don't update my titles for pages that don't perform as well as I would want either. So your question just made me think that perhaps I should and I likely will now...

I haven't changed them for quite sometime now, as I still get a reasonable amount of traffic every month. I don't see the need for it, as others have already said.

Great discussion. I will occasionally change meta descriptions if a page is getting lots of impressions for relevant search terms but low clicks. I agree with the majority of replies that good pages be left alone and not to change them often. But if you have pages that are doing "ok" or poorly for click throughs - then you're freerolling and may as well change/update every quarter to try to improve things.

I only change them if a page stops working or works for something I did not intend it to work for originally.

Hi, how do you feel about dividing the title into passages, what stop characters do you use? Can someone show their successful cases?

Couldn't you just search something and look at the top 10 results for this info?

With this, I think is important to understand what each character exactly means. For example, hyphen, endash and emdash, have different purposes of use. Check the punctuation guide and see what suits you best. Google surely knows what these characters are meant to be used for, and I think it's a good practice to use them in the correct way.

I wouldnt change them unless the pages lose ranking.
I prefer to find the most accurate meta title/description based on the content and my goal for each page and never change them.

If the change is too big Google consider that the page has a totally new purpose/topic, which is not good.

At least that`s what I think.

Let's imagine situation, where you update your casino rating each month. I think that TITLE and Description should be changed in this case accordingly to an update in the rating table.

Example: "Best casinos in May 2021" > "Best casinos in June 2021"

I do changes where the positions goes down or content changes. Overall sometimes it's important to do a few changes.

Good question! I think its a good idea to change them on occasion to reflect page content changes and to optimize for more terms based on current algo factors, but no more than once a month as too frequent changes could backfire in the SERPs for unnatural changes (over optimization).

I think it is not good practice. If you need to change something - it can broke all positions. Maybe if you get new semantic core - you can change all website, like update optimisation, but it is fair play.
