I have seen more and more older sites that built traffic on free games move away from it ...

I've been looking at sites that offer limited free trials, and that may be a better model for players looking to switch.

I thinks that free games are an important feature in a specialized casino portal but there should be a limited variety so that players have an incentive to convert to real money games.

Although it's in Spanish I think the idea is quite clear.

I think free slots games are an essential part of an affiliate site.
Just look at the biggest affiliate sites like AskGamblers, LatestCasinoBonuses etc, they all have a massive library of demo games.

It's a great way to improve important SEO metrics (time spent on site, reduced bounce rates and so on) and I always liked the feature "try before you buy" kinda approach. In my opinion, your biggest spenders will also come in from specific game related keywords.

I certainly do believe that if a website does have offers for free slot machines, free chips, big welcome bonuses, etc. that these are very good bait for new players because they are very attractive and alluring offers.

I would offer as many games as possible on any of those given websites. I'm thinking in the range of 200-500 games or thereabouts.

I believe that Mainstreet Affiliates has the best casino games and offerings for their affiliates.

Why not? I'd probably only use a few though because you wouldn't want to take away from a player playing for real you know. It's actuallly just like the demos.

How do I add free demo games to our site? Are they provided by affiliate managers? Anybody with experience adding free to play slot games to their site?

You can source it from affiliate managers or better affiliate programs list them in their media library. These usually contain your affiliate tracking code as well.
You can also source it yourself and search for iframe codes all over the game software providers website.
Or if you have a Wordpress site you can use our demo games import plugin to bulk add up to 1800+ games.

Your plugin seems really nice. Atm we do not run using Wordpress, but it may be worthwhile to switch platforms.

Any particular affiliate that is known to have a large number of quality games? Kindred has NetEnt, but there are many more game software providers that we would like to cover.

One more thing... Do we need to have a license in order to offer free demo games? What does NetEnt, Yggdrasil and other providers say? I guess they are glad that we spread their content, but you never know

As far as I recall SlotsMillion (Aleaaffiliates) used to offer a good selection of embedded demo games. Casumo also has a great backend tool where you can generate demo game iframes.

And answering your last question here as well - you don't need a license to have free demo games on your site. It's only free play after all.
