Ecopayz For Ontario Residents

Hello
I just logged into my ecopayz and noticed they have now restricted some Activity for residents of Ontario .I followed up with a email and they said we can no longer send and receive payments from Online Merchants .Just a heads up to others who may have to updates some account details .

This company is gradually getting worse and seems to be falling apart. They've recently closed down my account (along with my mother's) even after providing them with the verification that they required from us. They still insisted that they needed more documentation and I just couldn't give a rats anymore, so they closed our accounts. Just rogue behaviour imo and really disgusting!!

Your luck they allowed you to go this long, given, your in Australia.
They stopped allowing gambling transactions/affiliate payments (in or out) from AU way back in 2018.
So I'm not sure what country your Documents were from. Were they fudged (aka bogus)?

FYI... Neteller was the 1'st to say adios, which btw, was well before the amended AU IGA came into force in Aug/Sept 2017.

As far as it being "rogue" behaviour, it's not. They, like other processors have in the past, are merely protecting their butt from litigation. I shouldn't have to remind you but I will... Both Neteller and PayPal were hammered for many 100's of million by the DoJ. I'm sure Ecopayz doesn't want to risk the same treatment by some other Gov(s).

Why Ecopayz has restricted Ontario? Maybe they've opened an office in that territory, or in Canada. That would be my best guess.

As of April 4 Ontario Canada has regulated Gambling Dave that is why....

I really appreciate your clarification on this matter, AussieDave.

I remember providing the correct documents to them from Australia and they were eventually accepted. They later asked me for extra verification, just so they could be certain of the person who I was.

I had a similar situation. I went through verification at multiple bookmakers and wallets.
Documents always true, real.
I sent a huge amount of documents to ecoPayz and still the account was closed.

I have enough trust in Neteller, where I have an account for a dozen years.

Lately I've been reading good reviews about MuchBetter, but I don't know how it is in reality.
