Smile Decision about whether to promote this program - From Jamie

I have been sitting on the fence with this program, waiting for them to respond to all these queries here at gpwa. We were contacted by this company and agreed on the 5th of July to promote them based on them paying us our standard fee for placement.

I am now really concerned as i do not want to be advertising a company that is using dodgy software and have informed the company that until such times they respond to the gpwa and affiliate questions their campaign is placed on hold.

I have been informed that "Petr" is in fact the owner, not affiliate manager if that is his real name, and he has had someone that doesn't even work for his company approach us as to why the campaign on our site has not started and demanded a refund.

I just wanted to bring this out into the open as i am really concerned about their business ethics in how they are operating and will be responding to them once they have answered the GPWA and Affiliates questions in this thread.

I was lead to believe that Petr was an affiliate manager, but the person that contacted me passed a comment he is the owner. I can confirm that Petr did send us an email yesterday, but didn't answer anything we wanted to know. So he is back in the office and obviously ignoring all of us here and City Guard.

What concerns me is, this company is discussing deals and arrangements with other people not in the company and runs dodgy software, and has those people approach rather than approaching us them selves. I find this whole thread very concerning and they need to answer the questions raised here at gpwa.

The company seems to be run by school like people, who do not know what they are doing and are just hoping if they flash money to anyone, we will send players to them. If their software is rigged then they need to address these concerns and stop delaying the problem.

Simply put, if they don't respond soon they should be removed as Sponsors Period! I also suggest that the title of this thread be changed to outline the concerns about the programs software. I have spoken to 3 affiliates who started promoting this group all because the title read welcome Affiliate4you as a sponsor.

Edit: Sorry forgot to mention that this Petr has claimed he has paid alot of affiliates from gpwa on media deals, and they are ripping him off. Not sure who else here at GPWA he is talking about. My response to this was answer the questions raised at gpwa and explaine why you are ripping players off with the software you are using.

Ok just a quick update from my end. It is very difficult to understand via messaging on skype with this company. I am going to attempt a conference call with them tomorrow my time and will update everyone how it goes. I think what the issue is speaking wise is the language barrier, so i want to attempt to find out what is going on by speaking with the right people on the telephone.

Steven could you PM and I will fill you in on our details as well, and the issue we are struggling with.

The thread the above two posts were initially made in covers multiple issues about Affiliate4You.org. The amount of information and number of questions involved made it difficult to follow any one portion of the discussion easily. In order to ensure that each part of the discussion is able to get given full attention without any of it getting overlooked or list, I'm separating out each topic.

Even though Jamie's messages touch on several topics, I think they bring in some new information and don't fit neatly into a single topic, so I am putting this as its own thread with reference to specific issues he raises in their relevant threads (for example, linking here from the software thread and linking here from the thread about ownership). One of the points that Jamie made above was a request for the welcome thread title to be edited to note that there are concerns raised (for those who don't read it). I've gone ahead and amended the original title to reflect the concerns.

The original thread is available here.

The other topics in the initial thread are:
    - Licensing confirmation (jurisdiction, entities involved)
    - Software fairness
    - Intellectual property (game design, program name)
    - Geographic focus / language (role in determining whether to work with a given company)
    - Owner's prior involvement in industry
