Default BetUS No Loner Tracking U.S. Players (Currently Accepting Them)

As an FYI; as of last week BetUS is no longer crediting affiliates for any U.S. players sent.

Yet, As of today (and last week), they have continued to accept U.S. business; allowing them to deposit and play (but not credit affiliates for U.S. referalls).

They say they are going to stop accepting U.S. players soon (but again, affiliates will not be getting credit for them in the meantime)

Doesn't seem right to me. Looks to me like they are just dissolving ther affiliate department and gatheting up all the U.S. players they can from the affiiates hardwork (but not crediting affiliates from the new referals). My guess is that our stats are the next to be corrupted.

Be warned: divert all your BetUS traffic immediately.

    Sportsbook.com stopped accepting US players on May 1st. please refer to their official mail below;

    Dear xxx,

Due to the recent industry events we will no longer accept new signups from United States residents. Sportsbook.com, PlayersOnly.com and Superbook.com will cease accepting new U.S. players on May 1st, 2011.

Affiliates on rev share will continue to be paid revenue share on their past U.S. based referrals as well as non U.S. referrals. We will also continue to accept new customers from Europe, Canada and the rest of the world.

We are very sorry about any inconvenience this might cause.

    Regards

    Commission Account Team

The problem here is that various affiliates have tested the BetUS system. Despite the fact they have told affiliates in phone calls that they have pulled out of the USA, they are still accepting USA players and allowing them to deposit. They are just not tracking USA players to affiliates anymore. We need some clarification from BetUS on this.

This is another thread discussing this issue on this site:

Furthermore, BetUS is sending emails to current U.S. players with bonus offers to retain them.

I have had several players in my forum tell me that they got big bonus offers for reloads/initial deposits.

Yet, they no longer track new U.S. players for affiliates. But, they are still accepting them.

I think all affiliates need to be made aware of this which is why I am posting it.

    It's important info.

A simple mass press release and disabling of allowing USA players to sign up on the BetUS site is all that is needed here from BetUS's part to resolve this issue professionally and swiftly. Why is this NOT being done? It just looks BAD(real BAD) to not inform ALL affiliates(just a select few by phone only) that they are not taking NEW USA players when, in fact, multiple affiliates have informed everyone that they are indeed still allowing NEW USA players to fill out a sign up form and MAKE deposits. Again, WHAT is UP with that? All I know about BetUS is our AM is Erin and she is a 100% class act. As were/are Laura and Travis who we have dealt with in addition to Erin's assistants. So, therefore, I HIGHLY doubt that they would puposely mislead any of us. This come from BetUS ownership and, frankly, it's bush league. We have been promoting sportsbooks for years and work hard at it. We don't screw around with them and we expect the same treatment and respect. A clarification and DISABLING of allowing NEW USA players on the BetUS site should be done asap in our eyes. Or, if BetUS is having 2nd thoughts, than simply turn back on the USA new players tracking and start giving us credit for new USA signups. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

This looks like a one way street - bye bye BetUS - it is a shame since they were a good earner and had nice affiliate managers...

I have posted this on the other discussion thread about this matter with BetUS as well, but I think it belongs on this thread too . . . I have some significant news from a very good source within BetUS as a result of a telephone conversation I have had. BetUS is going to pull out of the USA market properly. It may even be as early as tomorrow. They are just orchestrating it all. I am assured from a source I trust completely that affiliates are not being scammed, they are just having problems doing everything in one go. They have not even informed all their staff members of the move out of the US market and they are downsizing hence the delay in turning off new USA clients. This is also the reason they have not yet made a statement. They realise affiliates are not being tracked for 10 days or so (ie: USA referrals are not) but they will genuinely be closing to new USA clients tomorrow or within a few days. Affiliate payments for March are approved and will be paid shortly.

All I did was pick up the phone and speak to them and then pass on to you what they told me ie: that they will be pulling out. I dont speak for them, I just passed on what I was told. I agree it is obviously a joke that they are not crediting affiliates with new USA clients if they are still accepting them. I am sure that I am one of the bigger losers from their actions. I just hope they stick to their word and keeping paying for existing referrals and pay up for the two months they are now in arrears (soon to be three). Why dont you give them a ring and ask what the hell is going on.

There is more going on: the awful Bookmaker.com's domain has been seized (a la pokerstars & full tilt) - take a look at www.bookmaker.com - and on my browsers the Betus site looks like crap and still advertises the preakness stakes (run last saturday). Have they all left the office at BetUS and run away?

Bookmaker has moved to another domain temporarly. https://bmaker.ag/.

I really think all the sites should switch to international domains (.eg, .au, .cs, etc...) where the U.S. doesn't have the authority to seize them.

However, this BetUS issue is serious and I thnk GPWA needs to get bhind us on this.

We do need some help here. Because everything coming out of BetUS has been "misinformation" if you want to be kind or just plain "lies" if you want to be realistic. To summarise the situation:

    1) They have switched off USA tracking for affiliates but still accept Americans. As time has gone on this looks to be for one reason, and one reason only: to deliberately con affiliates.

    2) They have not paid March or April affiliate payments. BetUS have always been the worst / slowest payers in the business by a mile. They have been a total disgrace historically but they have always paid. Given point 1) it looks increasingly unlikely any affiliates are ever going to be paid again.

    3) Only two affiliate managers remain from what was a huge team. Those two AMs can be trusted implicitly as individuals but they have obviously been told lies by their bosses, because all reassurances from them have not come to pass. ie: BetUS have not stopped accepting USA clients and March payments have not been made.

I honestly thought that was what this community was for; to assist us and be able to collectively fight against injustaces against affiliates. I spoke with he AGD owner and he said he is going to issue a warning and do his best to take acton on his members' behalf. I'd like to hear a GPWA team member's thoughts on this.

How many months do they owe you? We will be owed for March, April and May(only 5 days left). Nobody answers emails, the phone #'s are turned off and, hell, they still have Preakness promos up on their homepage tonight and that race was on saturday. WTF is going on here? We have NEVER been treated like this with ANY affiliate program. I mean, WTF, we can't even get a BetUS rep to come on here or the other aff watchdog sites to even give us an update. Simply unprofessional and that's not even getting into the whole debate about how they turned off USA player tracking for affiliates yet still take USA signups after they told us over 2 plus weeks ago it was going to be turned off in a few day.

We contacted BETUS yesterday and they told us last night they would be on the forums shortly to answer your questions. Hopefully, they'll be on here soon to do just that.

I think it is disgusting that they have taken so long just to say they will answer the questions soon.

It is becoming pretty clear that thge delay was on purpose to get the signups with affiliate tags during the "delay period" in hopes that affiliates would be slower to pull them off their sites.

I was very close to adding these guys to my site recently but now am glad I never did.

Your exactly right. And the best part is, they are still taking USA signups (according to them, they aren't allowing them to deposit). Like that's supposted to make us feel better about them taking our traffic and using the information for potential future profits. They also turned off the player reports with the account numbers so we can no longer see what our players are doing (which gives them the ability to fudge the numbers)
